Gorj County Council

Gorj County is one of the 41 counties of Romania. Its capital is the city of Târgu Jiu. Located in the southwestern part of Romania, along the Jiu River, at the foothills of the Godeanu, Vâlcan, and Parâng mountains, Gorj is a blessed place where for centuries, water has embraced and shaped the rock like a skilled and silent master.
