About
The Piatra Closanilor natural reserve is located in the Pades commune, in the Valcan-Motru area, and is included in the Domogled National Park.
It is a complex rock reserve with Mediterranean elements that covers an area of 1,730 hectares.
Heights: 1,421 m Piatra Mare a Closanilor and 1,163 m Piatra Mica.
It includes the Closani Cave - Pades Commune, Closani village (15 ha), formed in the limestones of Motru and the Cioaca Cave with Brebenei - Pades Commune, Motru Sec village (20 ha), with distinctive concretionary forms, both lacking tourist facilities and not included in the tourist circuit.
The Piatra Closanilor natural reserve is one of the most important tourist destinations in Oltenia, a destination that you shouldn't miss if you are nearby.
