Chitu-Bratcu Forest Reserve

The Chitu-Bratcu Forest Reserve is a natural reserve located within the Defileul Jiului National Park. The area impresses with its wildness and extraordinary beauty of the places, with its amazing wealth of flora and wildlife.

The area has great tourism potential, being rich in spectacular karst phenomena such as caves, natural wells or avens. In the heart of the forest, there is an interesting type of local farmsteads, called "conace.
