About

The monument is dedicated to Ecaterina Teodoroiu, heroine of the First World War. She took part in laying the foundations of the first scouting organizations in Romania.

During the First World War, she first worked as a nurse on the front in her native region, then enlisted in the Romanian army. For her merits on the front, she was promoted to the rank of second lieutenant.
