The Tudor Vladimirescu Monument is a historic monument located in Târgu Jiu, at the intersection of Unirii Street, Geneva Street, and the boulevard Republicii, in the park with the same name, located in front of the National College "Tudor Vladimirescu".
The monument is the work of Gorj sculptor Constantin Bălăcescu, was erected in November 1898, through the initiative of a group of students from Gorj, led by historian Grigore Tocilescu. The location of the statue signifies the moment of the gathering of the brave pandurs, in January 1821.
