About

The wooden church in Hobița, Peștișani was built in 1829. It is named after the "Entrance to the Church". The church is on the new list of historical monuments.
One of the founders of the church is also the grandfather of the sculptor Brâncusi, namely Ion Brâncusi.

It should be noted that the name Brâncusi appears for the first time. The painting of the church was executed by the deacon Zamfir from Găvănești, writing the painting on a canvas applied to the awning which unfortunately no longer exists. There is, however, a small inscription on the tapestry written by the painter just above the royal doors. The painting is sacred, in the altar there is only one icon, and in the nave there are only four icons. The church has the shape of a ship. It was restored by the Romanian state in 1969.
