About

The wooden church in Peștișani village, Suseni hamlet, was built in 1735. It is dedicated to "Saint Pious Paraschiva" (October 14). The church is on the new list of historical monuments.

The church was built in 1735, the founders being priests Alexandru and Roman]. The walls inscribe a rectangular nave (8.90 m/6 m), with the original uncrossed altar, polygonal with five sides; currently the opening is only on the south side, the north side being in the extension of the ship, to obtain the proscomidia.

The church has a rich heritage of icons, some of which also come from the other wooden church of the locality, which was demolished and which was built in 1727.
In its current form, the church is the result of extensive repair works, after which it was widened and a new nave was built.
